The business model of ConstructAlly is a hybrid of the way residential contractors currently obtain work and the method used by commercial contractors.  Currently most residential contractors rely on lead services, advertising, contractor/subcontractor relationships and referrals to obtain their work while commercial contractors mostly rely on job board platforms that architects, owners or general contractors post the job specifics on for contractors to review the job details and plans for and submit their bids if they are interested.  ConstructAlly has developed a process that we feel with will revolutionize the industry to save both homeowners and contractors time and costs by developing a platform providing bid opportunities to contractors without the need to buy leads or advertising to bid on projects. 

 

How the Process Works

Process for Project Owners (Homeowners, Investors, Property Owners, Associations, General Contractors) contact us to receive a quote for their project and complete the following:

1. They can get a Virtual Estimate if they are just budgeting or kicking the tires.  This prepares them for an expected price range and greatly reduces poor quality appointments.

2. They can request an In-Person Consultation with one of our Project Consultants to review their project and select material options they want.  During this consultation and inspection our Project Consultant will create a scope of work detailing the work and materials required to complete the project with all measurements and pictures included.

3. Project Owners can select if they want to use ConstructAlly only for Competitive Bidding within our network of Contractors and hire their selected Contractor directly for a flat referral fee or hire ConstructAlly to serve as the Project Manager on their project for a cost + percentage. 

4. Project Owners receive their Competitive Bidding proposal that prepares all bids submitted on an easy to view side by side comparison that outlines each Contractor/Pro company information (company age, company size, online reviews if applicable, etc.) and their pricing so a final selection can be made and the project can be awarded and scheduled either directly with you or through us as the Project Manager.

Process for Contractors/Pros (General Contractors, Subcontractors, Trade Contractors, Specialty Contractors) registered in our network see the following:

1. If the job details and location meet the parameters entered by the Contractor/Pro they will receive an Invitation to Bid email providing them with the full scope of work, materials selected and timeline for the project. 

2. If the Contractor/Pro is not interested in the job they can decline the invitation or if they are interested, they can review the project details and Submit a Quote.  All Invitations to Bid will be closed after 5 bids are received or 48 hours have elapsed whichever happens first. 

3. After the Project Owner has made their final selection the Contractor/Pro will either receive a notification that they have won the project or have lost the project.  If the project was won additional details and steps to schedule will be included.  All Contractor/Pros who bid on the project whether they won or lost the job will get a summary of the bidding results so they can compare their pricing and company details to their competition for future reference.
